Other Coatings

CAS-MI has unique capabilities in formulation and characterization of paints for special applications.

Aerosols
Industrial paints can be formulated for aerosol application. These formulations can be packaged in spray cans for application testing. CAS-MI Laboratories has experience testing aerosol coatings and developing formulas for production.

Powder Coatings
Powder coatings can be produced to evaluate the effect of inorganic materials such as pigments or fillers. These powder coatings can be applied to metal panels and cured in an oven to provide samples for application testing.

Inks
CAS-MI can evaluate application and film appearance/performance properties of inks, as well as testing liquid ink properties. We also offer contaminant identification and deformulation of inks, including the identification of the polymers, pigments and additives present.
