New Services - Bench Scale-Up and Toll Production
CAS-MI Laboratories announces their new capabilities for bench scale-up and toll production. Batch sizes from 5 gallons to 500 gallons can now be produced using the customer’s formulation. We can also develop a custom formulation based on the clients' specifications and performance criterion. We can generate pre-commercial quantities for market development and process optimization.
New Equipment - Bruker Optics Tensor 27 FTIR
This year we installed a new Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscope by Bruker Optics. It is a Tensor 27 with a Hyperion 1000 Microscope with an Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) objective. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) is used for identification of materials based on absorption bands that are assigned to characteristic functional groups. The microscope FTIR enhancement allows for the identification of small specimens and particulates to be analyzed. The ATR objective allows for surface identification with minimal preparation of and no destruction of samples. This state-of-the-art instrument allows us to conduct such analyses as: deformulations, material identification, contamination, and surface modifications.
